MISSING GIRLS IN ALBUQUERQUE.....
In Albuquerque they were digging to put in a new subdivision. In the last week or two they have found 13 bodies of girls. In the paper today it had an add on how these families were never helped, some turned away from the police stations and news stations because of some of the things the missing girls had done. All of them were into drugs and all of them were into prostitution. It doesnt matter....Now that they are finding all these bodies they are posting pictures and stories about them. These girls were still human beings, still had families, still were parents. Yeah they lived lifestyles that i could never imagine for myself and certainly could never imagine anyone in my family or even my daughter living, but ya know some times things dont always go our way, sometimes people get into doing things they had never intended on getting into....I will say it again these girls are human beings and their families got no help because they were not blonde haired, blue eyed, straight A students. There is only one that can judge us....and it's not you...or you....or you.
My heart goes out to these families.

Hello everyone...

It has been awhile...Me and the family are doing well, the holidays were great, All my nieces and nephews were here....I loved it.
This weekend I went for a 5 mile hike with Eric and some friends, even though Eric and my friends husband griped and complained the whole way there...They thanked us after and told us how much they enjoyed it...There are some buildings up there, a old hotel from 1909 and a sanitarium that was built in 1897...Here are some pics....I will be catching up with all of you and checking out your blogs......

So I went to the doctor yesterday.....
I guess I have high blood pressure, have never had it before, it doesn't run in my family. So she put me on meds....and told me to come back in 3 weeks. She asked me nothing about my diet, nothing about if I exercise. So I got to thinking and I asked if I could speak to her again, and I waited for 45 minutes and nothing. I love my doctor and have never questioned her. But I have been stressed the last 2 months, I haven't been exercising, I eat WAY too much salt. So I am thinking do I really want to be on meds...NO. I hate taking medicine. Should I for the next 3 weeks watch what I eat, start exercising again, and not take my meds, and then after the 3 weeks of trying if I can not control it then go on meds.....Whatcha think?

Saturday was Savannah's first soccer game...............we LOVED it....It is so much fun watching the little ones....kick it in the wrong goal, telling the other team how cute they are, running around holding hands......Took me back to Josh's T-ball days, the first time he hit the ball he ran to 3rd.......It is so much fun....and she loves it.....Her team is the Penguins....Here are some pics...

7 Years ago today is a day that will forever be emblazoned in our hearts and minds.
Today remember to honor the innocent victims that lost their lives, remember to honor the firefighters and policeman called to the scene. For those heroes that lost their lives to save another. I think it is awesome how in times of crisis Americans can put aside their differences and come together as one. God Bless America and God Bless our Troops.

We had a greaet weekend.....The weather finally allowed us to have Josh's bbq for his b-day.

Well my weekend was wonderful....Here are a couple pics one is from the Chile Festival and the other from Old Mesilla...and the other is when they first got to my moms house and my mom ran outside to see her....I think they must have hugged for 10 minutes.....LOL
I have to say they were both very nervous....but we had fun and got to just hang out and look at pics, and talk and played some games.....
I can't wait til our next visit....They went back home this morning....

TODAY IS JOSH'S 17TH BIRTHDAY......
TONIGHT I AM GOING TO HAVE A FEW CLOSE PEOPLE OVER FOR DINNER AND CAKE AND PRESENTS AND THEN THIS WEEKEND WE PLANNED A PARTY FOR HIM AT MY MOMS, BBQing AND SWIMMING.....BUT I FOUND OUT TODAY IT IS SUPPOSED TO RAIN SATURDAY AND SUNDAY SO WE MAY HAVE TO CHANGE PLANS AGAIN....IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE LAST WEEKEND BUT HE HAS BEEN SICK WITH STREP THROAT SO WE MOVED IT TO THIS WEEKEND....OH WELL WE WILL FIND SOMETHING FUN TO DO....

I HAVE DECIDED THAT DISHNETWORK IS A RIP OFF.....

I called them today because my son wants the NFL Network....so they tell me that I have to be upgraded to the next package....OK....I said well what do I pay now..He says 53.98 a month...I said how much is the next package up, he says 67.98. When I signed up for this service 4 years ago, it was 19.98. As we are talking about this he told me i can go online to see what new channels I will be getting. So I am looking them over while he is asking me questions....at the top of it, it says 49.99 for 3 to 4 rooms. So I ask him why the difference, he tells me because that pricing is for new customers. Then I had asked about getting a DVR, he said that will be an extra 24.99 charge every month and a one time fee of 99.99. I said but if I am a new customer the charge is 5.00 extra each month and there is no one time fee. He said that's correct....So I am thinking doesn't it make more since to give the customers that have been paying for years a better rate and better service then the new customers.....
OK i have vented now.....I feel much better, besides the fact the i am still paying much more then a new customer.

Well things have been a little crazy for me the last couple weeks.....
My mom invited me over for dinner because she needed to talk to me....After a long conversation and crying, the end result was I have a sister.... When my mom was a teenager way back when....she had a baby and gave her up for adoption.....She got a call the other day from a woman that works for an agency that finds biological parents for adopted kids. After a series of questions the last of which was do you want to have contact with her, my mom said Yes. The agency gave her my moms phone number and the next night she called and talk to my mom for like 2 hours. I spoke with her for a short time. I am so excited....I have a brother, a half brother, and growing up I had 3 step brothers...never a sister.
We have emailed several times since then and exchanged pictures, as teenagers and when we were in our 20's we looked alot alike, but getting older I think she looks more like my mom....The strangest part is she lived in Orange County her whole life, I was born and lived in Orange County until I was almost a teenager and then returned my senior year until I had kids and moved...We have so many questions, and have so much time now to talk and email and meet....wow i can't wait to meet her and her family....
I am on cloud 9 .....

We took Savannah to the light parade on the 3rd.
She was so excited this year over the fireworks...it was great she jumped up and down after each one....I love to see her like that....

Well we finally got some rain here in Las Cruces.. After over 100 days of no rain it was welcomed.. Of course i had just washed my van so I wasn't very happy... All last night I kept waking up to the loud thunder, but it's still in the 100's today....blach

One of our favorite places to go is White Sands...
They are going to start filming "Transformers...Revenge of the fallen" again this fall, they filmed alot of the 1st film there also but Josh and his friends missed out. They are doing a casting call for extras and they are bound and determined to get into this film.... I hope they get it.

Well Thank God it's Friday even if it is Friday the 13th...I am not superstitious, unless i spill salt, I throw it over my shoulder, I think that is more of a habit then supertition.

We are back from our vacation....
It was wonderful I suggest taking a cruise to anyone wondering what they should do for vacation. We have already decided to go again next year, but to take everyone with us, kids and family.

Well we are leaving for vacation on Friday....yippee....One of the things I am looking forward to is having lunch with some friends at Ancho's...one of my favorite restaurants in Riverside. I have not been there for awhile, but I was telling my friend this morning that I haven't been there since i moved out here to New Mexico...I am thinking now that I live in the South West and know what AUTHENTIC SW food taste like am I still going to like Ancho's. We will see.
Can't wait to see everyone in Cali.....

This is Alvin, we got him about a month ago, something happened last week, i dont know if he ate something or was just ill, I found him at work and took him to the vet, we got him tested and got his shots and dewormed him, but for some reason last week he would not eat, i was forcing him through a syringe. I called for an appointment to get him in, but they were booked, she told me on Thursday that if he didn't seem better before Friday afternoon to bring him in. Eric got home from work and found him.....We buried him in the back yard, with some flowers and a cross....Savannah I don't think really understands, but she is sad.
We'll miss you little Alvin....

On the brighter note of things, we leave this Friday for vacation.....I am so excited....
Can't wait to see everyone and can't wait to go to Mexico with Eric, it is our 10 year anniversary and my b-day...(well the 31st). Hope you all have a wonderful week.

Happy Birthday Mom

I have this bad thing about me that when I am making something for someone I don't want people to help me because I want it done MY way...Is that bad ?
So yesterday was my mom's birthday, and Monday I started baking her a cake, as they were cooling Josh says I want to decorate it ......my first instinct is NO I am doing it, but I thought OK let him do it, my mom will love it if he decorated it no matter what it looks like. So he cut a whole in the top cake and made a heart out of strawberries and filled in the rest with frosting...a little too much frosting, but I think it came out cute...
So I made my mom dinner and we had some cake and opened presents...I hope she had a good day.

oops and I made a mistake but hey it made her younger, i bought candles that said 63.............she's 64 !!!

Joshua is having a real hard time in school....not cause he's not smart, just cause he is so lazy. He will be 17 in a few months, and I am to the point now where I am trying to let him make his own decisions, and learn from them. Josh is a lot bigger then me and I can not physically make him go to school and even when he does go I can't make him do his work. He's always playing the sick roll, and even when he is at school, I think for what, he doesn't do his work, he doesn't do his home work, and he disrupts the class. Josh now wants to take his GED, part of me feels if he can't even get through school, what can he do.The other part of me thinks, getting his GED would be better if he decides to go to college later then having years of F's and lousy attendance. He wants to join the military, which also scares me, on one hand I think it will do him some good, teach him some responsibility and a little bit of respect, but on the other hand, what if they sent him over seas, that would make me a basket case, if anything happened to my son I would lose it. I don't want him to grow up before its time, I want him to get back into sports and go to Prom, and do kid things. Is this a choice I leave up to him..... he is almost an adult..

Yesterday was my weigh in and measure day at curves.....I only lost 9 pounds so i wasn't too happy with that. But my % of body fat dropped9.25% and i lost a total of 17 inches (adding up everything, waist, legs, arms,etc...) So I am semi happy with that. I have 4 more weeks til we set sail on our cruise....( I am so excited) I want to drop 15 pounds by then....Days like yesterday don't help though, i ate chocolate cake for lunch...oops ( I just can't say No to chocolate sometimes )....

Since my mom is a famous musician she has the privilege and honor of receiving free tickets when big acts and other performances come to the area. “I Know You Won’t” believe this but I didn’t even know who she was till I looked her up. Since none of us were interested, my mother thought someone from my offices may enjoy the VIP seating. Well, I didn’t know how to give these up equitably, so here goes… The first to call me at 2:10 pm and correctly identify this performer will receive the prize. To be fair to all early birds will be disqualified.

Well my problems with my son seemed to have passed, for now i guess. I didnt talk to him for almost 2 weeks, ya know I wasn't even mad at him, I was just so disappointed. I was a BAD teen, but never did I disrespect my mom, never told her I hated her, never cussed, even now I dont cuss in front of her cause I know she doesnt like it. Friday night Josh came in out room about 3:00 and said he didnt feel good and asked if I would go lay with him....His fever was sky high, and I gave him some meds and got a cold cloth and we talked for like 3 hours....I was on cloud nine. Maybe just cause im the mom and not the dad he doesnt talk to me about stuff, and that breaks my heart, i want us to be close in every way but i guess some things are left for dads..... So I am feeling much better this week....

The weekend was aweful, started my spring cleaning....Filled both my huge trash cans, but a pack rat I am no longer.....LOL The wind was so bad we didnt even hardly go out, Savannah wanted to go for a walk, we got down the street and she she let's go home....

Maybe next weekend we will have some fun.

This weekend:
Saturday was another beautiful day, must have been about 80, Savannah and I spent the day outside washing Eric's car and then mine...I took the seats out and cleaned the carpet and everything, it looks so good...I love when my van is clean, (doesnt stay that way long).
Sunday I was supposed to take Josh to go see Linkin Park, I really didn't want to see them so I told Josh to invite another of his friends and I was going to go to the Casino....I was actually looking forward to it. I had originally bought a ticket for Eric cause he really likes them, but he is still being a baby over an argument him and Josh had on Tuesday and he didn't want to go. The concert ending up being cancelled, (which why does it take 2 seconds for them to take the money out of the account, but it's going to take approx 10-15 working days to put it back in...)
Anyway, the weather was awful so I guess it's a good thing we didnt't have to drive out there.
Savannah and I went out to watch Josh's team play baseball (he helps coach The Giants) IT WAS SO WINDY..... It was awful, and that started off our week of bad weather, today is supposed to be about 51 degrees.....YUCK

The best thing since popcorn.......
I bought some of these after watching the biggest loser last week.
I am on a mission to lose 30 more pounds by May, I have lost 14 since the 1st of the year. Eric and I are going on a cruise in May for our 10 year anniversary...I am so excited. We will leave San Diego and stay a day in Cabo and a day in Ensenada and then back to San Diego, it is for 6 nights....I have never been away from Savannah for more then 2 days....kinda nervous about that.
Anyway these are great, so fast and simple and it is so much better for you then boiling veggies and losing most of the nutrients. I am a huge veggie lover. I would not however cook meat or fish in them like they say you can, don;t know why, I just have this huge phobia of cooking meat in the microwave, and it just doesnt sound good either. So go get some they are great....

I am such a tight wad.....LOL
I finally broke down on Friday and bought a new phone because my cell phone has been missing for at least a month and a half now.....and of course guess what Eric found yesterday...my phone!!
Isn't that the way things always work, at least for me....

Savannah has been in school for almost a year now.... I love her school, she loves her school. We have had a couple issues there but it all boiled down to miscommunication. The school is at the church we attend, and she loves learning about God and singing about God, she can tell you stories forever about the bible.
They are moving in June. It will now take me a half an hour out of the way to take her then a half hour back, where as now her school is right in between Joshs school and my work. There is a guy I work with and him and his wife opened a day care and they have been telling me to check it out. The only thing that is stopping me from sending her up the road to the new school is that extra 45 minutes to an hour sleep I would lose. And when my normal nights sleep is 5-6 hours sometimes i really need that sleep.
I am just afraid she will maybe get depressed and miss her friends. Am i thinking too much into it, or should I just move her to another school?

Eric and I went out last night to Azul Lounge to see his friend play, he plays the guitar in a jazz band...I had a blast. I learned though that no matter how much money I may have, I would still be eating at Applebee's and Chili's...etc....
I ordered a drink 12.00, I also got an appetizer of grilled shrimp, 16.50. The shrimp came on a big plate with 4 shrimps and a bunch of sauce scattered....Where's the rest....LOL

Yesterday when I got home from work with Savannah, Eric called her into the back room, she came back out and handed me a 16" ponytail....I just stared, I was in complete shock.....Eric has cut his hair. I think with my little comments here and there, and his friends that came over last weekend, telling him they wished he would pass out cause they would cut his hair off, it finally happened....

Friday night Savannah went to a birthday party at her favorite place ever Chuck E Cheese....
Saturday she started dance class, it was tap week, (she alternates ballet one week tap the next) we are not allowed to take pictures though so this pic is the only one i got.
Then Sunday me and Savannah spent the day at the mall.....We went to the museum in the mall (I know strange place for a museum..i think so anyway). The theme this week is patterns. We had a blast...

OK, here is the thought that has been taking over my brain for a few days now....
Josh's girlfriend has been hanging around our house now for at least 3 months, in the beginning it is normal for someone to be shy even intimidated by their girlfriend/boyfriends parents. I am also (so I have been told) an intimidating looking or mean looking person. And alot of my friends have even told me I thought you were mean or stuck up and I am not, but I guess the look on my face makes me to appear this way. Anyway, when she is at our house and we are going out to dinner or to the movies or where ever it is we are going we take her with us, like last night she was at the house and we were going to Applebee's for dinner. Josh even said thanks mom after we were done eating, she has NEVER once said Thank you...
I bought her a concert ticket so she could go with Eric and Josh to an upcoming concert...nothing. For Christmas i bought her a little something, and nothing. For her birthday I bought her a cake and some earrings, and nothing...
Should I expect others to be as I would want my kids to be?
A little about her background, her mom is a single mom, works 2 jobs to give her the things she wants and to keep a roof over her head, she is hardly ever home. To me she buys her things out of guilt for never being there, instead of spending quality time with her she takes her shopping. Her mom now has a boyfriend so that takes the little bit of time they did have together away. Her mom will even call me and ask if she can come over cause she is going out and doesnt want her to be by herself. Her mom has never even said thank you to me, even for something like that. So I think maybe she never instilled in her the manners she should have towards others. But then on the other hand I think she is 16, its just common curtousy that she should know by mow.
Would you say something, am I over thinking this? Should I say something to Josh, so he can tell her, should I not bring him into this and make him feel like he is the middle man. What would you do?

Well after checking in to several diffent things for Savannah to join...such as baseball and soccer etc...etc... (all those she has to be 5 to play, soccer she can join in the fall so we might put her in that then (Eric wants her to play soccer and although I despise the game I am sure I will enjoy just because she is playing)...anyway I decided on dance class...She will start this Saturday, and I can't wait she loves to dance around the house so I think this will be perfect. She will alternate one week ballet one week tap. I will take lots of pics to post next week.
I also took her down this weekend and had her hair cut, Eric doesnt like it but oh well, I told them to cut what they had to to get rid of the split ends and they cut a good 5 inches off...it'll grow back.

This weekend was so windy, yesterday I got up to go to the store and was in for a surprise when I saw Joshs basketball thing had fallen over on my van good thing the window didn't break it came close to it, I just have a big dent from the pole now....Wonderful!!!

Well hope you all had a great weekend, anyone go to any good superbowl parties...This is the first year in 4 or 5 years that we didn't have a party, Eric was still upset that the Cowboys lost....CRY BABY !!! SO i just cooked for us and we stayed home...I thought the halftime show was real good. And even though I lost 20.00 I am glad the Giants won...

Well I am feeling much better...I went to the doctor Monday and she kept me off work until tomorrow, I had strep throat, ear infections in both ears, and I don't think I have ever been more congested...So today I am trying to get caught up with the laundry and cleaning up, last night Eric made some burgers with my George Foreman Grill....my favorite kitchen appliance, so I was washing it and put it up on the strainer to dry out, cause I am too lazy I guess to just wipe it down and put it away, I turned around to walk to the dryer and BAM, right on the floor it fell and broke in a million little pieces..........WWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH
So now I am bummed as can be...
Thats what I get for being lazy...

Trying to get Eric to eat healthy is gonna be the death of me....

Ya know I think it is my fault the way my family eats, because I am the one that grocery shops, and I am the one that cooks 2 meals at night because they dont want to eat healthier....I told Eric last night I am putting my foot down on this. I gave in and bought Tacobell last night, and as I ate veggies and 1 taco, Eric ate 2 burrito supremes and 6 tacos...How can you move after that. He says I sound like a broken record me complaining about the way he eats. He says it's not what you eat it's the exercise, so then exercise...We are going on a cruise for our 10 year anniversary in May, I told him if he does not loose 30 pounds by then he is not going with me. Not like I am skinny Minny anymore, since I moved to New Mexico I have put on 70 pounds....WOW when I say it it sounds aweful. Since the first of the year I have watched what I ate and trying to exercise on a regular basis, which isnt all to regular. I have lost 13 pounds. He watches The Biggest Loser with me and says wow I need to get in shape, then goes and grabs cookies....Last night he finally admitted he needs to lose weight, which is a step in the right direction, I am the one though that needs to stop buying junk and stop making seperate meals for everyone....

PLAYHOUSE DISNEY WAS GREAT !!!

We went to town a little early so we could go to the Olive Garden, we don't have one here in Cruces, so everytime we go to Texas we go there.....YUM
And then we went to the show, I thought it was fun, Savannah had a blast jumping around yelling and singing and dancing.
I have posted some pictures, in one of the pics she is putting her subscription to Disney Magazine in the mailbox, everyone that filled out the card gets a one year free subscription....I thought that was kind of cool.

Yesterday I had the day off, so me and Josh went shopping and then we cleaned the garage....long over due. We pulled everything out and swept......YUCK (dead spiders every where...i guess better dead then alive...LOL) and we still didnt get up Josh's punching bag, cause he's lazy and I want it up, I want to start using it.

And let's talk about Sunday's games....ok let's not, both teams I wanted to win lost.......so I have no desire to even watch the super bowl....

Well after all my grumpiness wore off, which didn't take long, I had a wonderful Christmas, my brother Larry and his wife Jean came out, and my nieces came out...We actually had 3 Christmas', Christmas Eve at my moms with my brother who had to leave back to California Christmas morning, then Christmas at my house on Christmas day, and the my nieces got in late Christmas day so we then had Christmas at my moms again with my nieces on the 26th.
My son got me a new dining room set for Christmas I thought I was going to cry a river, I sold mine when we moved to NM and never went out and got another one, which they enjoy sitting around the tv eating dinner, and I have always been the family sits at the table person,he tells me they are still sitting around the tv to eat dinner though......NAH

Well New Years Eve is today and although Eric wants to go out, I have never been one to celebrate the New Year, I would rather stay at home with the family and be safe.
So it might just be Savannah and I, Eric will probably go out and Josh is in LOVE right now so whatever his girlfriend wants to do he will probably do.
I am not much of a resolution person either, however this year I have a couple, to start going to church more, im lucky to go once a month right now, and to eat healthier, which since I had my daughter my resolution has been to go on a diet, never works passed a month or so, but I fiugre #1 if Curves is taking money out of my bank account every month I might as well make use of it and #2, we are eating as a family far too much junk and fried foods, so meals will be for now on on the healthy side, and it will be easier since I stopped working 2 jobs.

GRUMPY CHRISTMAS !!!!

Christmas is my favorite day of the whole year. I love to celebrate it, i love to shop, i love to decorate....I love everything about it.....
This year however I am a big GRUMPBALL, 1st off my family gets together every year, usually we have to go to California along with my mom, but for 2 years now we have planned on everyone coming out here this Christmas. My sister has backed out and said her and her family can not make it, which her son Daniel is out here so that not only made me upset but my nephew Daniel as well. The my brother tells me yesterday that he and his wife are coming out this Sat. but are leaving Christmas morning so they can get back to Cali. My nieces however can not come out until Christmas day and they are staying the 26th and the 27th, so my Christmas calendar this year is Christmas at my mom's on the 24th with my brother and sister in law, Christmas at my house the 25th for us, and then Christmas at my mom's the 26th with my nieces. And i dont get to see my sister and her kids at all......I think that sucks....my mom says just be happy we get to see them...BAH

Then I have been postponing going to Texas to Toys R Us to get Savannah her Princess talking magical nursery...I went online today and they have non available. So I went online to look at Target and they have something similar so I got it,not thinking delivery time and shipment time are 2 different things, so it is coming on Jan. 3rd, i went back and cancelled it, so tonight at 10:00 after I get off work I have to drive to El Paso to go pick up the only one they have left, cause she said she would only hold it til midnight tonight when they close.
And on top of that....I am PMSing......
That's the whole reason I am having a grumpy Christmas...I am on my way to Walmart right after work to get some Midol....LOL

Friday we went to the City CHristmas Party, we had a great dinner and danced the night away, they gave out some gifts, I won a Harley hat. It was fun we enjoyed ourselves.

You'll be missed John Carter!!!
Tonight we went to the memorial service of one of Eric's friends Big John...
I didnt know him to well, he use to come to the house to hang out with Eric and them when Eric worked GM receiving at Walmart. Although everyone else has since moved on to another job he still worked there nights and I would see him and say Hi. I talked to him about a month ago and he was so excited cause he finaly bought a Harley, something he had dreamed of for along time. He was a good guy and he will be missed. He will be taken tonight to Kansas to be buried with his mom. Ya know he was only
33, i know he was on alot of medication, don't know what for, but he passed away from a stroke. It makes you stop and think, Life is too short, live it to the fullest everyday and show the ones you love how much you love them.

Tomorrow night Eric and I are going to the City's Christmas party. I will post some pics over the weekend.
I have been off work for 2 days now and i will be off tomorrow, at home with Savannah cause she has pink eye in both her eyes...my poor bby. She freaked out the first morning she woke up and couldnt open her eyes. She is looking much better though.

Savannah is head over heals in love with the movie Hairspray....

I bought it the day it came out and waited until the next morning to watch it, well she woke up in the middle of it, and I asked her if she wanted mommy to turn it off and put cartoons on and she said No and cuddled up next to me and watched it.
Well 2 days had passed and she comes to me and tells me she wants to watch the movie with the girl singing, I did not know what she was talking about. About a hour later the commercial comes on tv and she starts jumping up and down saying that movie mommy, so I put it in amd played it, then again, then again. She has all the names down and she will tell me ok i'm Tracy and your the mommy. We dance and sing to every song that comes on. Her favorite is the last song and dance of the movie and it's a fast song so we have to play that song 4 or 5 times in a row...I get my work out for the day and have fun doing it.

Well Thanksgiving was very relaxing, we went to my moms and had dinner and just hung out, watched some football, played outside. We went shopping and got some decorations for the house cause they were 1/2 off. It was Josh that wanted to add to the decorations that we had. He even got up the next day and hung all the lights around the house, and I raked up the never ending sea of leaves and hung the lights around the tree and windows ...Savannah played on her little bike while we were busy.We are not going to put out tree up until this weekend though.Can't wait I love doing it.
I didnt wake up too early on Friday, wasn't too much to get. I got up at 6:00 and went to Walmart and then headed to Penny's. I got alot for Savannah and got myself some boots....ssshhhhh..LOL I got Savannah's Christmas dress also, The bottom pic is her wearing her dress with my boots on !!!

This weekend was really busy, Saturday i took savannah to the park and to lunch,washed my van..inside and out, baked some cookies, me and Josh both worked Saturday night, came home and relaxed and watched a movie...Next with Nick Cage, ya know i used to like him alot now i just think he's kinda weird. it was an ok movie. Sunday got up went to church, did some yard work and me and Josh went to work.
Did some cleaning when I got home so hopefully i won't have to Wednesday so i can start cooking Wed. night. The big thing out here is deep frying the turkey, and you can not have bigger then a 20 pounds, and there is hardly ever any left overs, so i am going to do a seperate turkey just for left overs for everyone. I got a couple great recipes for stuffing and cranberry compote off of my favorite channel Food Network, so I cant wait to try those. What is everyone doing for Thanksgiving? We are going to my moms and then out to Clovis for Friday and Saturday to see Eric's sister Tasha and nieces that will be out there from Cali and i will also get to see my friend Stacey, its been awhile since i have saw her. So I am looking forward to that, it is about a 5 hour drive.
On Friday we went to Thanksgiving lunch that Savannah's school put on, here are a couple pictures.
And I will have to take a picture of her writing her name, she can write the whole thing now, I am soooooooo excited, she still has a little trouble with the S but a little more practice and she will have it down.

We have been going to NMSU games and then we have went to a couple high school games this year so she wanted some pom poms......She is a little to girly girly for me, i was more a tom boy, played softball that kind of thing. I guess we are all our own person...But that's a good thing!!!!

Today on my lunch racing around to get all the stuff done that I needed to, I got pulled over for speeding. Not so bad right..... This is my second one in 5 days. I also got pulled over Saturday for speeding. I have never gotten a ticket until this year, this is now my 3rd ticket this year, I got into a little fender bender back in July, and now this.
I WANT TO SCREAM!!!! even though i'm laughing just to keep from crying.....

WHAT A WEEK I HAVE HAD !!!!
Eric's birthday was on Tuesday, we took him out to the Texas Roadhouse for dinner. My aunt and uncle were here from out of state so they got to go with us. Here are a few pictures.

The elections were this week so work has been real hectic. We have a new mayor, which noone is too happy about here at the City. But what can you do. Our old mayor only lost by 74 votes so he is asking for a recount. I hope something comes out of that.

Tonight we are going to a football game, it is the high schools here in town, Las Cruces High (that is where Josh goes against Mayfield High. I have heard it is the 3rd largest rival teams in the US, i tired to look it up but couldnt find anything on it. Last years attendance was 28,000, and they expect to beat it this year. LC High is undefeated and Mayfield has lost 1 game so it should be good....

Tomorrow night we are going out to the comedy club, they send out a little package if its your b-day which includes 12 free tickets, so a bunch of us are going to go. It will be fun. I will post some more pics this weekend...

And last but not least it is a long weekend, due to the holiday on Monday..So i hope you all have a fun and relaxing weekend.

I HAD SUCH A GREAT NIGHT LAST NIGHT...............

Our evening started at out church/Savannah's day care, they had games and food, she decorated cookies and did a cake walk, they had jumping balloons it was alot of fun, Savannah had such a good time which made my Halloween just the best...We then went home i made us some sandwiches while she passed out candy, then we went Trick or Treating, she was so cute, she says mom can I run, and she was telling us to hurry up, me, Eric and my mom went around with her, and she was scared of nothing, she would just go right up scary or not, the only thing that scared her for some reason was the fog machines or smoke machines whatever they are called she didnt like those....She had the most fun I think passing out the candy, she was talking to everyone explaining to them what candy they were getting and why, if they were little she would tell them i cant give you gum or the hard candies cause your just too little but when you get big you can have them, or ill give you a red candy cause your wearing red, she had everyone laughing, the kids however were kinda like yeah yeah just give me my candy....she had so many kids waiting one time she told them to make a line and she would get to them as soon as possible. And if they didnt say trick or treat well they didnt get candy til they did...It was so funny...

She ended up going to grandmas for the night, which gave me about an hour or so of me time before Josh got home and Josh is 16 at the age where he doesn't want to hang out with mom all that much, and i was on the couch watching some TV and he came and laid his head on me and asked if i would play with his hair and we talked it only lasted about a 1/2 hour but meant so much to me.....then I went in and got a good night sleep.....I woke up this morning smiling, it made for a great day too....

This Saturday we took Savannah to the rec center for some Halloween fun !!!
She played games ( they had one where they put a candy finger inside of chocolate pudding and the first one to get it with their mouth...no hands won...she didnt like that game) and we ate and she painted a pumpkin....And she won her very first pet, a Beta that she named cuite. She was so excited, she even asked if fish had clothes....uummmm ok !!!

Well I am ready for the weekend....
This has been a long week and I am glad it is over.
I rented a movie, Mr. Brooks, and i am going to curl up on the couch after the little one goes to bed and watch it. This weekend I need to do 2 things, clean my van and clean out the garage, we are having a birthday party for Eric next weekend and its messy, plus the other night when I was in there a centipede comes crawling out like nothing it was huge and I soaked it with bug spray, it took off under this cabinet we have out there and I couldn't find it but the next day he was laying in the middle of the garage upside down and dead....they give me the eeby jeeby's....
I also need to find a cop costume for work we are dressing up we always do themes and this year is cops and robbers. And thats about it just relax.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, if you are going out to any Halloween parties have a great time and be safe....I want to see some pics if you dress up. Eric and I were invited to one but I don't feel like going....What a party pooper I am...LOL

One of my biggest fears is FIRE !!!!

My friend called me this morning to tell me she was evacuated from her home last night in San Diego, Ca ... These fires are out of control, I would be so scared... Hundreds and hundreds of homes have burnt down, more then 250,000 people have been evacuated. I didnt want to get into it too much with her cause she was realy freaked out, she is a single mom with 3 kids and she is such a strong person i am so proud of her the way she has taken control of this. Would I just take my kids and go, would I grab things that are important, and at that point they gave her 15 minutes to get out, what would i grab...these are the kinda of things i didnt want to ask her. I am not sure what I would do. I guess have each one of my kids grab what is important to them, toys wise, sentamental things, clothes, and I would get photos, a trunk that I have all my momentos in and some clothes I guess. I guess when it comes down to it you gain composure and do what you have to do....
Fire has always been a big fear of mine, I remember when Josh was about 6 years old, and I was doing laundry, and I found burnt matches in his pants, I had a talk with him and he admitted to taking matches that he had found outside and trying to burn a plant. They say all kids are interested in fire, but it really scared me to think what could have happened. I called my friend Steve and he said that when he was small his mom took him to the fire department and told them that he had been playing with matches....So that's what I decided to do, I took him down to the fire department and the man that was talking with Josh was about 6 ft 7" or so, deep voice, he had us both crying, he showed a film to us about what could happen if a fire gets out of control, and then told me ma'am you make sure if you catch your boy playing with fire again you bring him back down here and you dont bring him to anyone you bring him to ME.... I was like Yes sir'...The film was kind of graphic and I think it really set him straight about fires, they then took him out on the truck and drove him around and let him slide down the pole that whole bit, so it was a good lesson learned....
Eric on the other hand when he was small he was in his bedroom and was hiding under then bed doing something and he couldnt see so he lit a candle, well that white cloth like material that is under the bed caught on fire and burned fast, he got so scared he went in and cuddled up with his mom who was sleeping, she woke up to the smell, got them out of the apartment but by then it was too late and the apartment burned down, he said he was probably 5 when it happened.....SO he is a little freaked out about fires too....
I hope my fire adventures are over and I dont have to go through something like that with Savannah, but Steve's advise was the best and I would do it again, I also advise my friends to do the same if something like that happens with there kids....
My friend is in our prayers and I hope she can return home safely soon, and I hope they gain control of these fires soon before too many more loose their lives or their homes.

Well fall is FINALLY here....
The last few days have still been in the low 80's but the nights are dropping down to the 40's and 50's....I am very much a summer girl and i love the warm weather, but this year I have to say I couldn't wait for fall. Savannah is not happy though,she loves to wear dresses and the last few mornings even with putting tights or leggings under her dress she is still cold. I bought her a new jacket and a sweater over the weekend because this winter is supposed to be a cold one.

The other thing is I am so ready to cut her hair, she is so tender headed and hates for anyone to brush her hair, and i refuse to take her out in public with me looking like an orphan, yesterday i took her into the salon and she was fine until she sat in the chair and she freaked out...she was also tired she didnt take a nap so that maybe some of the problem, i am going to take her again this weekend and see what happens, im tired of the fight every day. Eric will not be happy but he doesnt have to brush her hair everyday...I do!!! I'll post some pics if I get her to cooperate....lol

Well this weekend we went to the fair....I had a realy good time, Josh was working so it was just Eric, Savannah and myself and we met my friend Amanda their with her boyfriend and his son...I thought it was funny because his son is 3 years older then Savannah (and a boy at that) and he was scared of all the rides, but she loves them...I am so happy. Here are a few pics.....

Then we went to see Bucky Covington (any American Idol fans....) ya know he wasnt too bad, sang a few cover songs, Rvery rose has a thorn, some Pink Floyd (that shocked me) I only know a few of his songs but I had fun...Eric and Savannah went on rides cause she said it was too loud and Eric didnt care to see him amyway so he took her out.

Did anyone watch Rock of Love on VH1, I really liked that show and was so glad with the outcome, I like Jess and Samantha and when Jess one I was so happy......UNTIL the finale last night, it was the reunion show, and she was a total B***H......
I wanted to slep her right through the darn tv screen....So the whole show was ruined cause of her.....and I thought she seemed like such a nice person....
She just started up her own clothing line, she wore one of her shirts on the show last night, and I think she did the whole thing for publicity...little tramp!!!! LOL

Eric and Savannah are going with me, Josh has to work, but at 9:00 I am meeting up with my friend Amanda cause we want to see Buckey Covington....how corney I know but I liked him on American Idol....
JOsh will be racing again tonight, but I unfortunatly can not make it, cause dorky me forgot to put in for the day off, and now I can not find someone to work for me. I am sad, I love to watch him race.

COWBOYS FOR CANCER RESEARCH !!!!
I have lost several people in my life to Breast Cancer, my grandma, my great grandma, one of my dear friends mom, my Aunt Carrie....for the last 5 years I have volunteered to help raise money for this great cause..This year I am SO PROUD to say I was apart of breaking the national record for raising money for the Are you tough enough foundation. The record was at 90,000 dollars and that was raised by a city in Colorado. Las Cruces broke that record by a mile, we raised 225,090.47. All the volunteers went out on the field at half time and presented the check to the chairman of C4CR.....It made me cry...Every year I will continue to volunteer my time in honor of my grandma Pegs, my grandma Doris, Debbie and my Aunt Carrie and for all those that have lost their lives to this horrible disease.

We also went to the Enchilada Fiesta on Sunday...they have it here in Cruces every year, they make the worlds largest enchilada....I didnt get any pics of that but got some of us hangin out there. We listened to an LA band that is all girls they are a AC/DC tribute band, they were all right.

Well Saturday was Savannah's 4ht Birthday Party, we had it at Chuck E Cheese...her favorite place to go...She had a blast!! Here a a few pics from it. Yester day was relax day, got caught up on the laundry, (which I was kind of in a hurry and didnt check pockets well enough I guess because I washed Josh's little mp3..video player that he got for his birthday....see now I see it as if you don't take it out of your pockets before throwing them in the hamper...that's your fault not mine...but Eric and Josh both see it as my fault.) I say it's just being lazy and trying to blame it on someone else. what do you think?
I had to work last night but only from 5:30 - 9:30 so it wasnt to bad, got to watch some football....
This is only the 3rd week of having a second job and i'm exhausted, gettin' too old for this...Josh has even got a job, he works on Fridays and Saturdays and then a few hours on Sunday, he uses Sunday to do his homework so I told them he could only work til 6:00, he gets his 1st check tomorrow, but that is kind of spent already cause he told Eric he would give him most of his 1st few checks to help us my a new bumper, cause Josh ran into a pole.....Nice !!! I'm not sure if i posted about that or not, i'll have to go take some pics... OOPS, Eric was mad...i told him that's why they are called accidents, he didn't do it on purpose...

Well Eric's parents are leaving in the morning, they have been here for a couple weeks, and we will miss them. We took them out to White Sands Saturday...OMG it was so hot, the hottest it has ever been there when we have gone...Savannah will truly miss her PaPa Al...she just loves him to pieces. Makes me wish we were closer to them.

Well we have been enjoying the company of Eric's parents for the last week and a half. This weekend we are going to take them out to White Sands, last weekend we took them to the Wine Festival and we went bowling with a bunch of Josh's friends for his b-day. Here are some pics from the last week...

I had a super short week we had Monday off for the holiday and I am taking tomorrow off to spend the day with Eric's mom shopping and I finally am going to see Hairspray. Last night was a little scary for me I got stung by a scorpian on my foot. I called the emergency room at the hospital and they said 99% of them here in NM are not poisonous. So they said to put some ice and take some tylenol...It hurts worse today then yesterday, its bruised and there is like a hard bump there now....

This weekend we celebrated Josh's 16th birthday.....
He had a realy great weekend, we had a dinner and cake Sunday night. And Saturday him and a bunch of friends are gonna go to Rock and Bowl...I'll post some pics later.
Also Saturday he will be getting his tattoo....HELP!!!
I am kind of thinking that he is going to chicken out though, we'll see..

Erics parents got here this weekend also, last night they took us all out to Outback for Joshs actual birthday. I had a good time, I always enjoy there visits....

My new job is going good, I like it, I am not as busy as I was before but alot less stressful and alot nicer people...

SOME ADVISE IS NEEDED !!!!
My son will be 16 years old on Monday. For his b-day one of the things he wants is a tatoo. I normally would say "Are you out of your mind"... but the tatoo he wants one in memory i guess of his dad. He has looked alot and put alot of thought into it, he wants either...A) the same exact tatoo Jason had in the same exact place, his nick name on his left upper arm..or B) he wants me and him to get matching tatoos and the design he choose i really like and would be willing to get.
I think this is something he will not regret unlike other tatoos he could get.
What would you do ???????

Boring weekend...Boring week...
We went to the company picnic this weekend, you would think the City would be able to have a nice picnic, Boring!! No body goes cause they are so boring, Savannah had fun, thats it, we only stayed an hour.

Josh and Eric played in a Madden football tounament on Saturday..Josh eliminated Eric ...hahahaha...I thought that was funny. And Josh keeps coming so close!

And last I redid my bathroom in my room, the lady that owned the house before us must have loved pink/mauve....yuck! not even a pretty pink, and she had put up this god awful border so it took me forever to get that off, it had been up for 15 years she said....Here are some pics

Last night they had a little thing at the downtown mall, alot of vendors had stands up giving away info and little things like pencils balloons stuff like that, they had the police station giving away backpacks to all the kids that are in school, they had free hot dogs and snowcones, free Dominos and Chicfilet, I did so good on my diet, all i got was a snowcone (with no juice) YEAH
They had games for the kids, and jumping balloons. We had fun !!!

Well I got the job I interviewed for...The interview was the hard part, I get so nervous and I don't know why...And I should feel real happy right now, but for some reason I do not...I feel like I am abandoning everyone, and I dont even know why I feel like that because my office will be maybe 20 ft away....I am confused and don't know why, I guess I am a creature of habit and am afraid of change...
My boss asked if I was going to take it, and I said I dont know...she said well I just want you to know that I am sorry for treating you so badly when you came back from vacation, i kinda feel like that is what pushed you to look for another job...which is. After I got back from vacation she didnt talk to me for 3 weeks, until one of the supervisors from our department wrote her an email and told her she was acting childish. She was mad because I went on vacation and she doesnt like to do my part of the job, and because she didnt have anywhere to go when she went on vacation and she didnt like me talking about the things we did...She is real strange sometimes, when i got back she was going through my desk, writing me letters it was awful...and I know if I stay something will come up again, it has for 3.5 years now, if its not one thing it is another, she is like one of those people that are not happy unless there is drama in her life.So I am going to accept the offer, I just feel bad about it for some reason...
Oh well it will all work out for the best....and its more money....yeah!!

Lat night Savannah fell and bumped her head, she was running through the kitchen and she tripped and she has a goose egg...Eric freaks out every time she bumps her head cause when his sister was little she bumped her head and it cause blood clots or something and they had to do surgery....She will be fine though its just a little bump...

It is still working for the City and still here in the same building so I will know the people or some of the people interviewing me, but that doesnt matter I still get so nervous, and afterward I always think why was I so nervous...

I am not a huge Simpsons fan, but the movie was funny...
I have learned though that I do not like going to the movies when it is packed, people irritate me, the man next to me shook his leg through the whole darn thing..shaking my chair, shaking me, I was bugged.....last time we went to the movies it was to see The Transformers, it was again packed, and i was again irritated, 1st the guy next to me was texting throughout the whole movie and then he was eating a pickle, i wanted to tell him to hurry up, how long does it take to eat a pickle .... ( I can't stand pickles, the smell the taste they are one of the worst foods for me...I know how petty but since i was little I cant stand them)so I have learned I need to wait a week or so before I go watch a movie or just buy extra tickets so noone sits next to me......lol

Yesterday was a birthday party for a boy in Savannahs class...It was at the park, it rained on and off until about 1:00 and the party was at 5:00, we got there about 10 after 5:00, walked around and we didn't see anyone, a couple other parents asked if I was looking for Josh's party, I said yes, they said they never showed up. I had called since about 1:00 that day to make sure they were still having the party, and got no call back. We don't know these people I was just taking Savannah cause she wanted to go and when it is time for her party I would like the other kids from her school to go, even if I dont know them, I think it is a good way to get to know the parents and Savannah still knows all the kids. My question to you is, would you send the present to school for the boy anyway? There were 4 sets of people waiting at the park with no indication that the party had been cancelled or relocated.

Well it's Friday....we made it through another week.
It is that time of the year again....The Madden Tournament !! WHOAA lol
They have a tournament every year when the new Madden Football game comes out, and the winner gets the new game. So it is down to business (yeah right) at my house, practice, practice, practice.... I was looking at Josh yesterday and he says I know, I know, I am playing too much....I just smiled at him and said your fine..I am just happy he is home. I just kept staring at the kids yesterday thinking I am so lucky to have healthy happy kids...(I guess I was in a mushy mood yesterday.....lol) Yesterday when I got home he had put all his clothes away from when he was gone, and did up the few dishes that was in the sink. I was kinda shocked...
Tonight is the night the boys have been looking forward to for awhile....The Simpsons Movie...(Big deal...thats what I think) I will probably just go for something to do, but I am not that fond of them I can take them or leave them, it doesnt matter to me.
I am looking forward to the weekend, we might go out to the lake with my nephew and his friend and my mom and Ray, havent decided yet..But I'll take pics if we go.
And for the 3rd weekend in a row I say I am going to finish Savannahs dresser, sanding it and painting it. And hopefully finish the bathroom in my room. I have been so lazy. Erics mom and dad are coming in 2 weeks for a visit, and his mom might be staying with us for a little bit, well see....

Only 3 more days and Josh will be home........YEAH
Right now he is with my friend Donna visiting her son Kevin, they left today to the beach to go camping with a bunch of people, i hope he has a good time. But it has been a month and I MISS HIM !!!!!So i can not wait for Wednesday.
This weekend wasnt too bad, not as relaxing as last. I went out with some friends Friday night for my friend Jacqui's birthday, Eric and my nephew went along.
Didnt get much sleep that night. Yesterday I did the front yard, pulled some weeds, sprayed the outside of the house for bugs, that kinda stuff. Took Savannah to the movies, one we had already saw it was at the dollar theatre. Got a great nights sleep, i slept like 10 hours.. Today I cleaned my room, it always gets put off til last, and took Savannah to the park. Waiting for my show to come on, The next Food Network star....its the final one. I love Food Network, great channel....

I have enrolled in a scrapbooking class, it is only 2 times a month for a few hours, but it is ME time.......... YEAH I am so excited to start the 1st class is the 28th, I can meet some new people and start to make a dent in the 3 boxes of pictures I have....lol

There are days I love my job and days I hate it....(I guess that is everywhere you go though)...Last week there was a lady that called in because she said she did not get her trash picked up, I called the driver and he had it noted that it was not out) I told the customer go ahead and set it out and I will send the driver back, but in the future have it out by 6:00 am, that pissed her off and she said it was out...blah...blah...blah. So then the driver called me back and asked if she was paying for 2 containers, I said no just one, so I put in a work order to have her 2nd container removed. She called me today and said my neighbor witnessed a city truck pull up to my house and take one of my containers away, I said yes ma'am you are only paying for 1 container, if you would like it back its only 3.72 a month that would be added to your bill.....OMG, that lady had a cow calling me every name in the book...then opened her mouth and said I run a licensed day care out of my home, I said oh well your only paying residential rates ma'am if thats the case we will have to charge you commercial rates (and especially since you just called me a B**** and the C word....So now her trash is jumping from 18.72 per month for 2 containers to 65.30 plus her water , gas and sewer will be all changed to commercial rates.....HAHAHAHAHAHA CALL ME A B**** AGAIN.... I love my job!!!! hehehe

I had such a relaxing weekend....I did nothing, not even my yard.
I woke up Saturday, did a little cleaning, and that was it, I said aw I'll do it tomorrow...Then tomorrow came and I went to my moms with Savannah and swam for the day, my nephew and his friend barbequed. So this week will be filled with lots of chores since I put them all off, but it was worth it....

Well thank God it's almost Friday..... What a long week this has been.
Yesterday I would have thought was Friday the 13th (even though I don't believe in that stuff), yesterday I was in my 1st ever carr accident, cause the jerk in front of me slammed on his brakes to avoid this little itty bitty branch that was in the road, the cop asked him why didn't you just run it over, look at all the damaged you caused. he said I didnt want it to damage my car, he was laughed at.... But they say it is my fault, cause I hit from the rear....There goes my perfect record.....lol
Josh is still gone, he is in Oregon right now, and is asking if he can stay another week....Man this is killing me, I have kinda been depressed lately and not able to sleep and I think that is why...I havent been exercising or dieting well at all, havent gained any weight back, but havent lost any either.
I am looking forward to this weekend, looking forward to nothing.....I have nothing planned and am so happy, i can sleep in, and relax........I am going to paint my bathroom and put my new shelves and stuff up that i have had for 6 months now and still havent put up....I am so lazy sometimes. And I cleaned Joshs room, cause he is not here to say no dont throw that, i tossed everything he doesnt use, his room looks great. He had toys in his closet from 5-10 years ago, he had a wrestling ring and wrestling guys...stuff like that...He is a pack rat like his mama...lol

While hanging out with my friend this weekend...she informed me she thought I was addicted to nose spray!!! After laughing and telling her how dumb I thought that sounded, cause how can you be addicted to nose spray, I googled it........and HOLY CRAP...I am addicted to nose spray.
I was sick about 3 months ago, and not even thinking about I am still using nose spray 2-3 times a day. I guess I just thought maybe it was something else that was doing it, my allergies or something. It never even crossed my mind that it was the nose spray. So now I am breathing out of my mouth and dying cause I CAN'T BREATHE........I have thrown away all my spray, it says it takes about 2 weeks to wein your self off of it...AAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWW
Hope everyone had a good weekend...man did it fly by. I had a yard sale on Saturday, I did realy realy good. and got rid of lots of crap.
Yesterday Savannah and I went and saw Ratatoelle....(how ever you spell it) I thought it was good, Savannah kept asking when it was over!! It seemed real long too.
I havent decided what we are going to do for the 4th, I know I will save lots of money Josh being away, cause I usually spend alot for fireworks for him. I think we are going to my moms during the day so the kids can swim then we will all go back to my house and BBQ and watch the fireworks, the city shoots them off and I live right around the corner from the park they do it at.

Well yesterday I put Josh on a plane to Montana....He thinks I am such a baby cause I cried...This is the 1st time he has ever flown alone, then on top of that he will be gone for 3 weeks....He is going to have a blast though. He is in Montana with his aunt and cousins, then they will drive to Courdelene Idaho this Sunday and they will be there until Saturday, they are having a family reunion (this is for his dads side of the family), then he will be driving back to Oregon with his grandma and grandpa for a few days then they will take him to Portland to stay with my friend Donna, her son is the same age as Josh and they grew up together but havent seen much of each other since we both left Cali....then he will be flying back...So I know he will have fun I think I am just sad because I know how long he will be gone....

I am back from vacation, we got back Monday....sorry it took so long to post, I have been getting everything put away and just relaxing. We got there Sat. and we were so tired we just slept the rest of the night. We stayed at my Uncles house...thanks you Uncle Jerry for letting us stay there...
Sunday Josh and I went to a Padres game with my brother and his daughters and their boyfriends and Eric and Savannah visited his friends. After the game we went to visit my friend Nancy it had been 3 years otr more since I saw her last...I really enjoyed our visit even though it was short.
Monday we went to the beach with Erics sister and her girls. I couldnt get Josh out of the water and I couldnt get Savannah in, she didnt like it too much, but OOOHHHHH how she loved the sand.
Monday night Josh and I went out to eat with his Aunt and Uncle from his dads side of the family....We were supposed to go to the cemetary, but Josh was almost crying telling me he didnt want to go, so I said ok we didnt have to...although that was one of the biggest things I wanted to do. I gave his Aunt the things I had made and asked her to put them out there for me next time she went.

Well I had a really good birthday, Josh made me dinner, we had pork chops and mashed potates and spinach and he made me a german chocolate cake...........mmmmmmmmmm
I got some flowers and clothes a pair of sandals some earrings and a camera case...

A boring but very relaxing and productive weekend....
I did lots of little stuff that needed to be done, worked in the yard, cut the trees back, puleed some weeds, washed the car and the van, cleaned the house, did some laundry.....layed out a little and got some sun.....(we all know i needed that) lol.
I barbequed....(i love it, food network all weekend has been about barbequing so I tried some new stuff...Me, my mom and Savannah went shopping today and I got some new tops for vacation and a new camera bag and some sandals....And me and Savannah spent the day outside playing and eating some watermelon....I love the outdoors..

Well it is official..........my son is a legal driver !!!!! Gosh I feel old.

This weekend I will be doing absolutly nothing!!! I am trying to save money for vacation ( 2 MORE WEEKS.......YEAH)
I will be just working in the yard and cleaning the car...Last weekend i took all the seats out of my van and cleaned them and scrubbed the carpet, so i am going to do the same to the car. We have decided to take the car to California because it has air conditioner, and the air is out in the van right now. So I am not looking forward to that drive in a car (gosh i love my van and its roomyness).
Josh is going tonight to watch the new Pirates movie, and then he is going tomorrow to Wet and Wild with his friends (it is Balloonfest, so they will have bands playing all day, they are going to see the band Saliva, Monday night is Flyleaf, I am not too big on that music so I dont want to go)...besides I am trying to cut the cord as Josh puts it....lol, and I am having a hard time but I am giving him his freedom and letting him do stuff without his mommy as long as he continues to do good in school.Since finding out about his ditching and bad grades he brought them all up, 2 are still d's but the other 3 are b's and c's, and I called the school every week and he never missed another day.

Last night was Savannahs graduation ceremony!!!!I loved it, the kids are so cute....Savannah spent part of the song with her fingers in her nose and stretching out her cheeks (there is a pic below), but they did great....

I had a WONDERFUL Mother's Day, actually my whole weekend was great.... Lots of family time and with everyone doing different things in this house we dont get enough of that.
Josh wanted to go back to White Sands (he didnt want to go last week cause he thought it would be boring, but then he was like oh that looks like fun), and it was and i thought it would be even better with just us. Then Josh had a softball game, him and his friends play on a league. Then Sunday Josh made me breakfast....bacon and french toast....and besides all the grease on the bacon from putting straight on my plate out of the pan, it was really good. I soaked up all the grease when he wasnt watching. The kids got me a few gifts and Josh got me a card and wrote the sweetest stuff in it, i cried...he is not a mush pot like me at all, it was great. And then last night we all went out to dinner with my mom,her husband and my nephew....it was lots of fun, they had jumping balloons, and sidewalk chalk everywhere for the kids and face painting...
